Oh, I am so sleep deprived!

When my grandbaby first came home, I hardly got any sleep. Now, my she is sleeping through the night but I'm not. Here are some ways that helped me get some well-deserved rest.

  • Lower the light level in your home and hour or two before you plan on going to bed.

  • Avoid working, using the computer or watching television right before bed.

  • Limit the amount of caffeine you have after noon.

  • Avoid drinking alcohol. It may cause you to have interrupted sleep.

  • If you wake up in the middle of the night, try to go back to sleep without getting up or looking at the clock.

  • Try not to skip your exercise routine.
